Massive Water Main Break In Beverly

Crews are working to repair the break, which has left residents in the area with low- or no water pressure.

BEVERLY, MA -- Crews were working at the intersection of Stone and Bartlett Streets in Beverly late Tuesday morning to repair what was described as a "massive" water main break. Water was flowing and pooling onto Bartlett Street just ahead of rain storms that were prompting flash flood throughout much of eastern Massachusetts.

An estimated time for when repairs would be completed was not immediately available. Residents were reporting no or low water pressure in the blocks surrounding the break. When water is restored, residents are advised to run cold water until the water runs clear before turning on hot water taps.
