Melrose Man Charged In Beverly Drug Bust: Police
Beverly police said they were making an arrest on an outstanding warrant when they found Doug Herlihy with fentanyl and cocaine.

BEVERLY, MA — A Melrose man was charged with cocaine and fentanyl possession after Beverly police said they found the drugs on the man while they were serving another man at the same home on an outstanding violent offender warrant on Wednesday.
Police said members of the Drug Control Unit were serving the warrant on a man at the Manor Road home when they encountered Herlihy, who police said provided false information on his identity.
Police said they were able to positively identify Herlihy after finding his wallet at which time they also found him in possession of "a small amount of cocaine and five small baggies of fentanyl."

Herlihy was charged with cocaine possession and possession with intent to distribute fentanyl.
Responding Officers were Sgt. Joe Santamaria, Officer Joe Archambault, Officer Michael
Gelineau and Officer Riley Cristoforo.
