Melrose Sex Offender Arrested On New Charges In Beverly

A prosecutor called the latest charges against Tyler Jacquard, 33, of Melrose, "incredibly disturbing."

BEVERLY, MA -- A Melrose man arrested of peering into windows at Wellesley College last year is facing new charges after being arrested last week by campus police at Endicott College in Beverly. Tyler Jacquard, 33, of Melrose, is being held without bail after being accused of climbing into a student's room and standing over her as she slept.

In addition to the student who woke to find a strange man in her room on Nov. 8, there were reports of a man in a dorm a few hours later and a report on Nov. 10 from a student who said a man was looking in her window as she got ready for bed. According to the Salem News, which first reported this story, a prosecutor called the allegations against Jacquard "incredibly disturbing," but defense attorneys maintain the case rests on the shaky identification of Jacquard by witnesses.
