Montserrat College of Art Open House, called "InHouse" Saturday

The college-wide exhibition of student work will also offer free, hands-on, art workshops

BEVERLY – The public is invited to participate in hands-on art-making workshops and view a campus-wide exhibition of student work at Montserrat College of Art’s annual open house celebration, named “In House,” on Saturday, April 14 from 10 a.m. to 5 pm starting at the Hardie Building at 23 Essex St.

Concurrent workshops will run from 10am to noon. Registration will be held at 23 Essex Street before the workshops begin. Participants may take up to two workshops.

At noon, visitors are welcome to explore downtown Beverly and have lunch, or view the exhibitions in 23 Essex St., 301 Cabot St. and 248 Cabot St. lower level. Student docents will be on hand to discuss the work and direct visitors. Student groups will also be playing music, offering poetry readings, and promoting their clubs and activities.

An awards ceremony for Montserrat students will be held at 2:30 pm in the lower level of 248 Cabot Street. Scholarship awards are presented by faculty in several artistic categories.
