Montserrat's new freshmen moved onto campus Saturday, Aug. 27. A special thank you goes out to the Beverly community for the warm welcome!

Montserrat College of Art has enrolled 112 new students, 18 transfers, 94 Freshman who moved onto campus Saturday, Aug. 27. A special thank you goes out to the wonderful orientation leaders, RA's, faculty, staff and the Beverly community for all their help to make the move in weekend such a success this year.
- Total enrollment for this fall is 370
- 71% of new students come from New England and 46% from Mass.
- Montserrat received 540 applications this year, which is one of the top three strongest years of applications received.
"Move-in day was a really wonderful way to kick off the new academic year," said Director of Admissions, Jeffrey Newell. "I had one mom in tears come up to me and jokingly say 'you guys take care of her!' but was reassured that the environment and setting was a perfect fit. It always is so rewarding to see so many familiar faces back on campus. One great aspect about Montserrat is that the admissions office gets to know each student and their families pretty well throughout the process, many of these students have been to campus three or four times already. It's nice to finally see them all together as a class; they're a very energetic and engaged group, and I know they will be strong contributors to Montserrat's student body and will really enjoy all that downtown Beverly has to offer. I'm already impressed with the Class of 2020 and am really looking forward to watching them grow from young artists into creative professionals and entrepreneurs."
