Montserrat College's Beaux Arts Ball A Big Success
Money Raised for Student Scholarships
On Saturday November 16th Montserrat College of Arts held the Beaux Arts Ball at the home of John Archer in Danvers. Nearly 100 friends of the college came dressed in Venetian masquerade attire all to raise money to benefit scholarships for Montserrat students. There was dancing, dining, masks and music, as well as a presentation by President Kurt T. Steinberg, Ed.D about what makes the Montserrat College so special.
The event was inspired by the original Beaux Arts Ball begun at Paris art schools in the late 19th century. Faculty, students, and models all vied for the most creative and fanciful costumes in the tradition of Italian Carnivale.
