New Beverly Comedy Club Set To Open In March
The 150-seat Off Cabot Comedy and Events on Wallis Street will kick off its schedule with a grand opening night on March 19.

BEVERLY, MA — The opening of the new Off Cabot Comedy and Events club in downtown Beverly is now just about one month away.
The 150-seat collaboration of the Cabot Street Cinema Theater and John Tobin Presents on Wallis Street will kick off an initial 15-date run with a grand opening on March 19 featuring the comedy of Laura Severse, Corey Rodrigues and Tony V.
"We are so excited to embark on this journey with you, our beloved customers and comedy fans," the venue said in announcing the first shows. "We're opening the club the only way we know-how, with some of the greatest comics Greater Boston has ever seen.

"We think people could use some laughs during the pandemic and are tremendously excited to bring more comedy and other exciting events to Beverly."
The former The Grand Salon location was a blues club called 80 Wallis before pandemic-related issues forced the closure of the live music venue.

The Cabot helped upgrade the performance room with a new sound and lighting system, while Tobin — a former Beverly City Councilor — will present and operate the shows.
