North Shore Active Shooter Response Training This Summer
The Northshore Education Consortium will host an ALICE Instructor Certification Training course in Beverly in August.

BEVERLY, MA — North Shore school officials, law enforcement, business leaders and other interested community members can become certified active shooter and violent intruder response trainers through a Northshore Education Consortium course in Beverly this summer.
The ALICE — Alert, Lockdown, Inform, Counter, Evacuate — training is a two-day course held on Aug. 15 and Aug. 16 at the Northshore Academy Upper School on Soheir Road.
Certified ALICE instructors will have the knowledge and resources to train others in their community. The price of the training is $749, and registration can be completed online here.

The ALICE system is aligned with recommendations from the Department of Justice, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Health and Human Services, Federal Emergency Management Agency, Department of Education, Federal Bureau of Investigation and state government agencies to prepare schools, buildings and public buildings to best react in response to an active shooter or other extreme security breach.
"Northshore Education Consortium embraces the highest standard of safety preparedness," Francine Rosenberg, Executive Director of Northshore Education Consortium, said. "Our leadership team frequently reviews our safety protocols and we are in frequent communication with local law enforcement.
