North Shore Author Reads First Book of Her New Series to Beverly Preschoolers
"Amelia, the Moochins and the Sapphire Palace," is the first book in a series of ten of, "Amelia's Amazing Space Adventures."

Students of St. Mary School, Beverly, recently enjoyed a visit by North Shore author Evonne Blanchard, who read her newest book, “Amelia, the Moochins and the Sapphire Palace.”
Blanchard’s daughters were students in St. Mary’s preschool years ago and once she announced the publication of her new book series, school officials asked her to come in as a guest reader to the younger grades.

“Evonne Blanchard was born and raised in England. She has also studied and worked in France. She met her husband, an American physician, whilst they were both volunteering at a children’s orphanage in Guatemala. She resides in the North Shore (Boston, Massachusetts) with her husband and their two daughters, Lydia and Gwendolyn. Other additions to the household include a naughty dog called Lola, a lovely cat called Arthur, two hamsters (which they are careful to keep out of the cat’s clutches) and lots of fish! ‘Amelia, the Moochins and the Sapphire Palace,’ is the first book in a series of ten of, ‘Amelia’s Amazing Space Adventures.’”
