North Shore CDC to Host 4th Annual Community Build Days
Join North Shore CDC this summer for Community Build Days!

This summer, North Shore Community Development Coalition (CDC) is revitalizing four distressed neighborhoods throughout the region with the help of over 300 volunteers. Peabody, Lynn, Salem, and Beverly will each receive a day of neighborhood revitalization. Each city’s Build Days will take place on a Friday afternoon in July and August. Planned revitalization work in July features building picnic tables, building a small fence and driveway barrier, and painting in Beverly and landscaping, repainting, and repairing fences in Salem.
North Shore CDC’s youth jobs programs, YouthBuild North Shore and STAND, will lead the revitalization efforts along with North Shore residents, businesses, and stakeholders. Volunteers from corporations to residents of all ages and skill sets, as well as press, are invited to join one of the following Build Days:
- Salem Friday, July 8th 10am – 3 pm
- Beverly Friday, July 8th 10am – 3 pm
- Peabody Friday, August 12th 10am – 3 pm
- Lynn Friday, August 12th 10am – 3 pm
Community Build Days directly benefit the neighborhoods, and in return, the communities, as well as North Shore CDC’s youth programs. With this support, YouthBuild North Shore empowers young adults with the desire to transform their lives and improve their communities through education, employment, and leadership development. The program serves low-income young people working toward their high school diplomas, while learning job skills. STAND is a smaller scale, similar program focused on youth employment and skill development opportunities during the summer months.
