North Shore D-Day Parade, Block Party To Honor WWII Veterans

The Ipswich event runs from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. with food, music, a beer garden, presentations and the parade at 1 p.m.

IPSWICH, MA — North Shore residents can help honor World Ward II veterans and their legacy this weekend with a parade and daylong block party in Ipswich.

The event begins at 11 a.m. and runs until 6 p.m. with music, food, presentations, a beer garden and the parade at 1 p.m. Tru North Ale Brewing Company, over a dozen Ipswich and North Shore craft vendors are expected to attend, along with face painting.

The event will take place on Union Street and Market Street in Ipswich with a "Proximity Fuze" presentation on World War II beginning at 11, and music throughout the day, including country star Annie Probst at 3 p.m.

The parade begins from Bialek Park on Linebrook Road and continues into Lords Square to Central Street to Market Square over Choate Bridge to South Main Street ending at South Main and County Road.
