North Shore Summer Deals: Beverly's Cabot Theater Offers $1 Movies
The historic theater is showing $1 family movies each Wednesday plus the Star Wars series all summer long.
BEVERLY, MA — Families looking for a fun and cool activity to beat the summer heat, and "Star Wars" buffs looking to relive the series on the big screen, can look no further than the historic Cabot Theater in Beverly this July and August.
The Cabot is showing $1 family films each Wednesday night throughout the summer as well as Sunday matinees and evening shows of classic and more current films in the "Star Wars" universe.
"It's a great inexpensive summer activity for the whole family to open their eyes to new worlds and ignite their imagination all on the big screen," Cabot Theater Executive Director Casey Soward told Patch. "We hope to see everyone for a movie night at The Cabot this summer."

The $1 films start at 6:30 p.m. each Wednesday with "Sing" upcoming on July 26, "Pets" on Aug. 2, "Moana" on Aug. 9, "Big Hero 6" on Aug. 16 and "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" on Aug. 30.
This Sunday is "Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith" at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. (tickets $12.75), with a week off to follow with the Marshall Tucker Band in town, followed by "Rogue One" on Aug. 6 (6:30 p.m. showing only), the original "Star Wars: A New Hope" on Aug. 13, "Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back" on Aug. 20 and "Star Wars: Return of the Jedi" on Aug. 27.
