Obituary: Adeline (Bettencourt) Costa, Executive Assistant at Bay Bank For 15 Years

Adeline (Bettencourt) Costa, 90, died peacefully at her home while in the comforting presence of her family on Friday February 27, 2015.
Born in Peabody, she was the daughter of the late Manuel T. and Virginia (Augusto) Bettencourt. She grew up there where she attended schools and graduated from Peabody High School, Class of 1942.

Mrs. Costa worked as an Executive Assistant with Bay Banks in the Beverly branch for 15 years.
Adeline enjoyed traveling whether on cruises or to Portugal with friends and family, reading, knitting, and watching her beloved Red Sox. Her most important passion was her dedication to her family and spending time with her daughters and her cats.

She is survived by her two daughters, Diane J. & her husband Peter Silva of Beverly and Deborah L. Costa of Ipswich. She also leaves her close friends Roger & Esther Pinto and their family, and she also leaves several nieces and nephews. She was the wife of Agostinho Costa of Middleton. Her family is truly grateful for the love, care and dedication from her primary caregivers Cheryl Miller and Dianne Eason.
Relatives and friends are kindly invited to gather for a visitation on Tuesday March 3, 2015 from 9:30 – 11 AM in the Conway, Cahill-Brodeur Funeral Home, 82 Lynn St., Peabody, followed by a Funeral Service at 11 AM in the funeral home. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Salem. Memorial donations may be made to either Care Dimensions, 75 Sylvan St., Suite B-102, Danvers, MA 01923 or to the Alzheimer’s Association, 480 Pleasant St., Watertown, MA 02472.
