Obituary: Domenica "Minnie" (Navarra) Romani, Floral Designer at Romani's Florist For Over 25 Years

Domenica’ Minnie (Navarra) Romani, 101 of Beverly, died Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the Rosewood Nursing Home in Peabody. Born in Siano,,Italy on November 30, 1913. She was the daughter of the late Dionesia (Alfano) and Pasquale Navarra. Minnie was a long time Beverly resident, and had been in Rosewood Nursing Home since 2002.

She was the wife of the late Gino W. Romani who died in February 7, 1978. Minnie was a floral designer for Romani’s Florist, a family owned business for over 25 years on Ryal side in Beverly. Later she was a floral designer for My Florist in Salem, MA; owned by longtime friend Phil Evans.

She was predeceased also by her two sons Gino E. Romani who died in 1980, and Albert W. Romani who died in 2010. Minnie is survived by her daughter in law Charlotte Romani of Seabrook, NH. Her 6 grandchildren, Michele Hurd, Kristine Spinney, Gina Preziosa, Lia Romani, Gino and Fred Romani, her 11 great grandchildren, Charlene, Jessica, Kea, Dylan, Mitchell, Nicholas, Taylor, Marino, Gino, Roman and Sophia and 1 great great grandchild, Mia and her 4 sisters Josephine Sullivan, Malva Lindgren, Virginia Bettencourt, and Olga Bento and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Friday, February 13, at 12:30 PM. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. A visiting hour will take place prior to the service, 11:30 to 12:30 PM. Burial will be in North Beverly Cemetery. Contributions in her memory may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project.
