Obituary: Evelyn Englehardt, Worked at Salem Hospital For Many Years
She loved singing, remodeling homes, playing cards with friends and family, and being out in the sunshine.

Evelyn Englehardt, 91, widow of Peter P. Engelhardt, passed away Tuesday, May 19 at Kaplan House surrounded by her family. Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Elizabeth (Francis) Ball.
Evelyn grew up in Salem and graduated from Salem High School, class of 1941. She married Peter in 1946, and they lived in Salem before moving to Beverly. Evelyn worked at Salem Hospital for many years and then retired. She loved singing, remodeling homes, playing cards with friends and family, and being out in the sunshine.

She is survived by her three children, David Engelhardt and his wife Kathleen of Peabody, Nancy Goff and her husband Rory of Iowa, and Joan Perry of Beverly; eight grandchildren, Emily, Michael, Barbara Jean, Katrina, Michael, Joyce, Kathy, and Glenn; fourteen great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by her husband Peter, her son Paul, her sisters Elizabeth Burgess and Bessie Dube, and her brothers Harrison and Frank Ball.
