Gina E. Marsella, 42, beloved daughter of Gerald and Carol (Wentworth) Marsella, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family on Saturday, May 2nd at her home after a ten month battle with cancer.

Born and raised in Beverly, Gina was a graduate of Beverly High School, class of 1991 and a graduate of the University of New Haven. She worked as an administrative assistant for the Salem District Attorney’s Office. Gina was a loving and kind person. She enjoyed the summer and the ocean, and loved being able to wear flip flops. Always up for vacation, she enjoyed camping, traveling and cruises. Gina was a history buff, had a keen interest in the Royal Family and classic Hollywood culture. She was a loving and devoted mother, daughter, sister and friend.

In addition to her parents, she is survived by her daughter Samantha G. Vaccaro of Beverly; two brothers: Gerald Marsella, Jr. of Beverly and Stephen Marsella of Salem; two sisters: Karen Pettingell and her husband Douglas of Braintree and Kathleen Simpson and her husband Mark of Salem; her dear friend of many years Heidi Rivers of Beverly and her beloved cat Cosmo.

A Funeral Service will be celebrated at the First Church in Wenham, 1 Arbor Street, Wenham, on Thursday at 11:00A.M. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly on Wednesday from 4 to 8 P.M.
