Harry Willard Odell, 92, of Beverly, died, Saturday, March 7th , 2015 at the Seacoast Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Gloucester.
Born in Beverly, he was the son of the late Harry and Edna (Faulkner) Odell. He was raised and educated in Beverly and attended Beverly High School.

An honorably discharged veteran, he served his country as a member of the United States Army. He served during World War II in Panama and Europe from 1942 until his discharge in 1946. He was a member of the Citizens Military Training Camp in 1939, the Civilian Conservation Corps, 1939 and the National Guard in Salem 1940. Following his discharge he served in the Army Reserves from 1954 until 1960. His dedication and commitment to his country was a large and defining part of his life. He was a true American Patriot.
Harry had been employed for over twenty years with the United States Postal Service as a letter carrier until the time of his retirement.

Harry was a long time member of the American Legion, Herman A. Spear Post 331 in Beverly. He was a member of the Civil Defense League in Beverly for 8 years and enjoyed playing Bingo and spending time with his family.
Harry is survived by his daughters, Nancy A. Sirois of Danvers and Janis Wheeler of Salem, his grandsons, Michael Sirois of Lynn and Matthew D. Sirois and his wife Anne Marie of Salem, his beloved great grandchildren, Alexander, M. J., Caroline, Victoria and Julianna, his brother Charles Odell and his wife Alice of Maryland and several nieces and nephews. He was the husband of the late Elizabeth (Powers) Odell and brother of the late Mildred, Marjorie, Edna, Dwight and James Odell.
ARRANGEMENTS: His funeral service will be held in the Peterson-O’Donnell Funeral Home 167 Maple St., (rte. 62) Danvers, Wednesday, March 11th at 7 P.M. Relatives and friends invited. Visiting hours prior to the service from 4 to 7 P.M. In lieu of flowers, expression of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Harry W.
