Obituary: Janet T. (Bjork) Hurley, Door-to-Door Avon Sales Rep For 40 Years
Longtime active member of the Immanuel Congregational Church in Beverly.

Janet T. (Bjork) Hurley, 80, beloved wife of the late Robert A. Hurley, died Thursday, February 5, 2015 at the Masconomet Health Care Center in Topsfield.
Born and raised in Monson, Maine, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Mary (Erickson) Bjork. She was a graduate of Monson Academy in Maine.
Mrs. Hurley had worked for over forty years as an Avon representative, at a time when cosmetics sold “door to door.” She was also employed for many years as a sales clerk at Kappy’s Liquors in Peabody.

A longtime resident of Beverly, Mrs. Hurley was a longtime active member of the Immanuel Congregational Church in Beverly. She was an avid bowler who bowled with the “Unionettes” in Beverly and often met with a group of friends each week call the “Knit Wits.” Janet was an avid sports fan who enjoyed following the Red Sox and Celtics. She also enjoyed spending time with her family up at their camp in Bartlett, NH.
She is survived by her daughter, Cheryl J. Cain and her husband, David of Walpole, her son, Andrew R. Hurley and his wife, Sandra of Beverly, four grandchildren, Derek Hurley and his wife, Elise, Bethany Hurley, Steven Cain and Daniel Cain, a great granddaughter, Nora Hurley and several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Olive Fish and Clarence, Oscar, Raymond and John Bjork.

Funeral Services will be held at the Immanuel Congregation Church, 140 Bridge Street, Beverly, Wednesday, February 11, 2015 at 12 noon. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Tuesday from 4 - 7 p.m. Burial in the Main Street Cemetery, Rowley.
