Obituary: Lori (Jeffery) Porcaro, 50, Beverly Native

She was a 1981 graduate of Beverly High School and spent many years as a teacher's aid working with autistic children.

Lori (Jeffery) Porcaro of Salisbury passed away in her sleep on Sunday, Dec. 7, 2014. She was 50 years old.

She was a 1981 graduate of Beverly High School and spent many years as a teacher’s aid working with autistic children. Lori had a huge heart and a giving spirit. This clearly showed in her love of family, animals, arts and crafts and in her bee keeping. She was so fondly known to many as the “Bee Lady.”

Lori is survived by her husband of 28 years, Joseph Porcaro and their daughter Kristyn, who lives in Exeter, NH. In addition, she leaves her father Richard Jeffery and step-mother Joanne of Melbourne, FL, sister Sally Maijenski and nephew Michael Maijenski of Danvers, aunt Beverly Dow and uncle Russell Osborne of Danvers, grandmother Ann Dow of Beverly, mother in law Violet (Pino) Porcaro of Gloucester, sister in law Theresa (Carol) Gibelli of Boynton Beach, FL, and many cousins.

Lori is predeceased by her mother, Shirley (Jeffery) Leger and stepfather Robert Leger.

A wake and prayer will be held at Mackey Funeral Home, 128 S. Main Street, Middleton, on Monday, Dec. 15 from 5-8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Lori’s name to the local MSPCA, or any charity close to your heart.
