Melissa M. (Pilling) Goodwin 46, formerly of Beverly, wife of Edward E. Goodwin, died unexpectedly, Friday, April 10, 2015.
Born and raised in Beverly, she was the daughter of Helen M. (Bartolomeo) Pilling of Beverly and the late Arthur R. Pilling. She graduated from Beverly High School, class of 1987 and earned her degree from Marion Court College in Swampscott.

In addition to her husband and mother, she is survived by two daughters, Samantha Sigmon of Manchester, NH and Bailey Sigmon of Peabody, a son, Bobby Sigmon of Peabody, a sister, Tamara Berg of Jacksonville, FL and several cousins. Missy had been employed as a personal assistant at the South Street Diner in Boston.
She was a loving wife, mother and friend who had a kind and gentle spirit. She also had a love for animals, especially penguins. She held a special place in her heart for her pet grand-pug, Chloe and her cat, Sweetpea. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Funeral services will be held at the Campbell Funeral Home, 525 Cabot Street, Beverly, Wednesday, April 15, 2015 at 10 a.m. Relatives and friends are invited to attend. Visiting hours on Tuesday from 4 - 7 p.m. Burial in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery, Manchester by the Sea.
