Parisella Takes Step Closer To Sixth State Rep. Term
The Beverly incumbent earned 77.4 percent of the vote in Tuesday night's Democratic primary.

BEVERLY, MA — Beverly incumbent Jerry Parisella took what may have been a decisive step toward a sixth two-year term in the state legislature with an overwhelming victory in Tuesday night's Democratic state primary in the 6th Essex district.
Parisella received 77.4 percent of the vote, and won all six wards, against activist challenger Ricky Canavan-Wagner.
More than 9,000 residents voted in the primary with Parisella receiving 7,087 votes, and Canavan-Wagner receiving 2,068 votes.

Parisella will now face unenrolled challenger Euplio Marciano in the Nov. 3 general election.
