Parking Ban to Last Another Night
The snow emergency parking ban in Beverly will last at least through Friday night.

The snow emergency parking ban will continue through Friday night, announced Michael Collins, the city’s Commissioner of Public Services and Engineering on Friday morning.
“Crews will continue cleaning up the snow and it is critical that no cars are parked on the road tonight,” Collins said in his automated message to residents at about 11:30 a.m. on Friday.
The parking ban started at 4 p.m. on Thursday.

He added that cleanup is difficult with daytime traffic and that there is more cleanup that needs to happen after nearly two feet of snow fell on the city on Thursday and Friday.
“With the forecast of heavy rain in a few days, we must get the snow pushed back as far as possible,” he said.

Vehicles left on the road on Friday night will be towed, he said.
“I understand this is inconvenient but it is necessary,” Collins said.
