Teen Pilot Safely Lands At Beverly Airport After Wheel Falls Off

The student pilot safely landed the single-engine aircraft after circling for some time.

BEVERLY, MA — A 17-year-old girl safely landed a single-engine plane at Beverly Airport after it lost a wheel during takeoff Sunday afternoon.

The student pilot was not injured while landing the Piper PA-28 after the right wheel came off, according to online reports. An instructor helped her land after circling the airport for some time.
