Police Activity At The High School: Beverly Police Logs

Six police units showed up at the beginning of the school day to the high school and other police logs.

BEVERLY, MA — Here are a sample of the types of calls the Beverly police department responded to between Dec. 17 and Tuesday Dec. 19. It's important to note that just because someone reports and incident to police does not mean that's the way it happened. Arrests do not imply conviction.

Sunday, Dec. 17

Fire? Someone called to report a possible fire on Middlebury Lane. Beverly Police, Fire and an ambulance responded at 5:44 p.m.

Road rage: Someone called about a disturbance that appeared to be a road rage incident near the corner of Rantoul and School streets.

Suspicious: Three police units responded to the report of a report of a "suspicious" car near CVS on Dodge Street around 8:15 p.m.

Monday, Dec. 18

Death: Someone called to report that someone died on Cabot Street. Three officers responded and an ambulance at 12:59 a.m.

Vandalism: Someone called to report that there was some destruction to a property on Simon Street.

Gun?: Someone called at 3:46 p.m. to report they thought they saw someone with a gun on a balcony on Rantoul Street. Two police units responded.

Warrant arrest: Police arrested Robert Bouffard, of River Street on two warrants.

Tuesday, Dec. 19

Shoplifter: An employee at a shop on Cabot Street reported someone stole a liquor bottle at 7:22 p.m.

School safety? Six units showed up at the high school on Sohier Road at 7:19 a.m. related to "school safety" (Patch asked what happened: "Units were on hand this morning during student arrival for the potential for an incident involving a student. At no time did any incident materialize and all units cleared," said Officer Mike Boccuzzi in an email to Patch.) Later in the day around 3 p.m. police responded to the high school for a report of a juvenile matter. It's unclear if the two are related.

Drugs: Someone called to report drug activity near the corner of County Way and Clifton Avenue. Three police units showed up at 11:54 a.m.

Drug related arrest: Police arrested Jason T Teixera, 43, of Gloucester for possessing drugs with intent to distribute and resisting arrest.

Traffic Arrest: Police arrested Ferdinand Moron, 45, of Amherst Street for driving on a revoked license.
