Police: Alcohol-Related Arrests; Punching Cars

Tuesday, July 28

At 7:13 p.m., a truck hit a telephone pole on West Street.

At 9:50 p.m., police made three arrests after a vehicle initially failed to pull over near Kernwood Avenue and the Kernwood Bridge. Abner Trinidad, 23, of 8 Lowe St. in Peabody was charged with having an open container of alcohol, contributing to the delinquency of a minor, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, and failing to stop for police. Crinsiel Soto, 23, of 116 Shore Drive in Peabody was charged with having an open container of alcohol, disorderly conduct, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor. Jeffrey D, Lucien, 36, of 64 Foster Street in Peabody was charged with having an open container of alcohol, disorderly conduct, and contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

At 2:46 a.m., there was a report of a man punching cars on Rantoul Street. He was sent on his way.

At 5:37 p.m., officers met with several residents of Silver Court and heard their concerns about finding used needles near the boat ramp and increased vehicle and pedestrian traffic in the area late at night. Police will continue to monitor the area.
