Police: Animal Hoarding Investigation; Assault Warrant

Arrest

Mark Pyne, 41, of 445 Elliott Street in Beverly was arrested on a warrant.

Wednesday, Jan. 20

At 4:21 p.m., there was a report of a stolen cellphone on Elliott Street.

At 5:38 p.m., there was a motor vehicle accident on Elliott Street.

At 7:12 p.m., there was a report of an assault with a dangerous weapon on Hull Street. Police applied for a warrant for the suspect.

At 8:35 p.m., there was a minor motor vehicle accident at Cabot and Rantoul Streets.

Thursday, Jan. 21

At 1:26 a.m., there was a report of unwanted people in a store on Elliott Street. They were advised to leave the store.

At 12:56 p.m., a male shoplifter on Cabot Street reportedly stole three portable DVD players.

At 2:26 p.m., the animal control officer and the Animal Rescue League investigated reports of possible animal hoarding on Princeton Avenue. They were not able to make contact with the subject of the investigation at this time.

At 3:33 p.m., there was a motor vehicle accident with property damage on Sohier Road.
