Police: Arrest After Accident; Hiding in the Closet Again

Arrest
Paul J. McGrath III, 34, of 34 Pierce Avenue in Beverly was arrested on two warrants and charged with operating a motor vehicle with a revoked license, two counts of leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, and failure to use care in connection with a three car accident on Sohier Road on Monday, Jan. 4.

At 5:13 p.m., there was a report of a man crawling down the street near Cabot and Dane Streets. Police were unable to locate anyone.
At 6:02 p.m., there was a report of a pregnant woman who had burned her stomach on Silver Court.

Tuesday, Jan. 5
At 12:27 a.m., there was a report of a drunk woman causing a disturbance on Lenox Street.
At 2:43 a.m., there was a report of a loud stereo on Rantoul Street. It was turned down for the night.
At 8:11 a.m., there was a motor vehicle accident on Lothrop Street.
At 12:59 p.m., Beverly Police assisted the State Police in serving a warrant. The subject of the warrant was found hiding in a closet, as he has done numerous times before, according to police.
