Police: Beverly Man Charged With Driving While on Drugs

Tuesday, Dec. 16

At 10:34 p.m., police arrested Andrew P. White, 28, 15 Dodge St., Beverly, and charged him with operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, a marked lanes violation and possession of heroin. Police made the arrest during a traffic stop on Cabot Street.

Wednesday, Dec. 17

At 12:06 a.m., police received a call about an erratic driver on Dodge Street. Police were unable to locate the vehicle, but Danvers Police reported the vehicle was seen in that town. Wenham Police were also notified.

At 10:53 a.m., police responded to Bridge Street and Hillside Avenue about a motor vehicle accident. There were no injuries.

At 12:14 p.m., police received a report that a man was sleeping on a back porch on Elliott Street. Police woke up the homeless man and warned him not to sleep on the porch.

At 3:23 p.m., an Essex Street gas station reported a customer left without paying for gas. Police are investigating.
