Police: Drunk Driving Arrest, Ammunition Turned In, Obscene Photo Reported

Monday, March 9

At 4:39 p.m., identity theft reported on Cumnock Street.

At 4:50 p.m., landlord-tenant dispute reported on Fossa Terrace.

At 5:04 p.m., motor vehicle stop on Cabot Street and Kittredge Street. Summons issued for operating after license was revoked.

At 8:37 p.m., assist citizen on Cedar Street. Assist man find car. Car slipped out of gear last night and was in a parking space resting up against a snowbank. Car was not damaged. Man advised to set the parking brake.

At 11:04 p.m., arrest on Duck Pond Road. Party witnessed hit and run accident. OUI arrest. Barbara Simmons, 35, of Peabody, was arrested for operating under the influence of liquor, leaving the scene of a property damage accident and child endangerment.

Tuesday, March 10

12:33 a.m., weapons turned in for disposal on Alden Road. Ammunition turned in for disposal.

At 1:43 a.m., walk-in at police station reported receiving an obscene Snapchat photo.

At 5:28 a.m., noise ordinance violation on Cabot Street. Party who was snowblowing advised of the city’s noise ordinance.

At 5:30 a.m., hit and run accident with property damage on Cabot Street. Notified by newspaper delivery person of damage to the building. Damage appears to have been caused by an unknown vehicle crashing into the vehicle. Several items knocked off the shelves.

At 8:40 a.m., hazard on Henderson Avenue and Gove Avenue, Car parked too close to the intersection would hinder emergency vehicles. Vehicle was tagged and towed.

At 2:43 p.m., assist citizen on Cherry Hill Drive. Special needs children got off at the wrong bus stop.
