Police: Gas Leak Reported, Motor Vehicle Accident With Property Damage, Weapons Turned In

At 7:08 p.m., motor vehicle stop on cabot Street. Written warning issued for a turn signal violation.

At 7:56 p.m., strong odor of gas in home on Meeting Place Circle. Homeowner came home and could smell gas in his home. he opened a window and left the garage door open. He called 911. Beverly Firefighters arrived and found a gas leak at the meter with the help of a National Grid employee. Gas was shut off. National Grid repaired the gas leak.

t 10:23 p.m., gas odor on Essex Street. Reports of gas odor in apartment.Beverly Fire Department investigated.

Monday, Feb. 23

At 10:16 a.m., motor vehicle stop on Cabot Street. Driver exited the vehicle very agitated. verbal warning given.

At 10:44 a.m., administrative on Vine Street. Responded to home to remove any firearms. Man licensed to carry was arrested in Gloucester for shooting a man. No one home at the time.

At 11:27 a.m., motor vehicle accident with property damage on Pleasant street.

At 2:33 p.m., weapons on Vine Street turned in for safekeeping. Arrangements made through the court.
