Police: Larceny of $4,000 Worth of Scratch Tickets, Dozen Vehicles Towed, Credit Card Fraud

Friday, Feb. 20

At 4:24 p.m., credit card fraud reported on cabot Street. Funds withdrawn from account.

At 5:58 p.m., motor vehicle stop on Rantoul Street. verbal warning given for defective equipment.

At 6:41 p.m., parking complaint on Cabot Street. Car parked in the crosswalk for over 15 minutes. pedestrians had to climb through snowbank to get around the vehicle to cross the street. Vehicle tagged.

At 8:25 p.m., hazard on Livingston Avenue and Upland Road. Report of a car stuck on ice unfounded.

Saturday, Feb. 21

At 12:31 a.m., hit and run accident on Cabot Street. Report taken.

At 1:24 a.m., disturbance on Beckett Street. Complaints of loud party with over 50 college students. Apartment rented to Endicott College students.

At 8:21 a.m., motor vehicle stop. Citation mailed for possession of marijuana.

At 9:17 a.m., city violation ordinance on Park Street. Out-of-town taxi without license to operate in Beverly was advised not to do business in Beverly.

At 12:22 p.m., motor vehicle accident with property damage on Bridge Street.

At 5 p.m., larceny at plaza on Dodge Street. Larceny of $4,000 worth of scratch tickets.

At 9:45 p.m., suspicious activity reported on Hull Street and Wentworth Drive. Car pulling kids behind car. Vehicle not located.

Sunday, Feb. 22

At 2:12 a.m., disperse a loud group on Park and Riverside streets.

At 2:12 a.m., suspicious activity reported on Cabot Street. Man jumping in front of cars on bridge.

At 2:50 a.m., loud house party on Bow Street. Three people returning from campus party.

At 6:20 a.m., motor vehicle crash on Hale Street. Two people transported to area hospitals. Both vehicles towed.

At 8 a.m., winter parking ban detail along Rantoul Street and several side streets. 16 vehicles ticketed for parking violations, and 12 of those vehicles were towed. Owners were given prior verbal warnings to remove their vehicles.
