Police: With or Without U2 Tickets; Dog vs. Car

Wednesday, July 15

At 5:25 p.m., police spoke to five men on Bates Park Avenue who claimed to be from National Grid. The men were actually soliciting for another energy company and were told to leave the area and obtain the proper permits.

At 8:44 p.m., a car was towed after being found on Echo Avenue with heavy damage. Police believe the car may have been involved in a hit and run and was possibly stolen in Boston.

Thursday, July 16

At 9:22 a.m., police investigated a report of a craigslist scam. A local man said he sent out an $800 moneygram for U2 tickets he tried to purchase over the site, but never got the tickets.

At 3:24 p.m., a dog ran into the side of a car on Dodge Street. There was minor damage to the car, and the dog was taken to the animal hospital with head lacerations.
