Donald Joseph Perkins, 53, of 14 Meadow Street in Salem was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, second offense, and failing to stop or yield.

Friday, Dec. 11

At 5:10 p.m., there was a report of suspicious activity with the mailboxes on Beverly Commons Drive.

At 10:07 p.m., there was a report of children screaming on Hilltop Drive. Children were found playing.

At 10:10 p.m., there was a report of a hit and run accident with property damage on Water Street.

At 10:38 p.m., there was a report of a motor vehicle driving on the grass on Ober Street.

At 10:58 p.m., there was a report that a pedestrian had been hit by a motor vehicle on Rantoul Street. Police found that someone who was believed to be highly intoxicated had fallen in the street and had not been hit by a motor vehicle.

Saturday, Dec. 12

At 12 a.m., there was a report of a past assault at a restaurant on Rantoul Street.

At 12:30 a.m., there was a report of vandalism to a motor vehicle on West Dane Street.

At 12:37 a.m., neighbors on Oceanside Drive called to complain about a woman who was drunk.

At 1:29 a.m., there was a report of a large group in the street disturbing neighbors on Story Avenue.

At 6:19 a.m., there was a report of a breaking and entering to a car on Longmeadow Road.

At 9:32 a.m., a truck hit a utility pole on Hale Street.
