Police: OUI Arrest; Wheelchair Trouble

Arrest

Shawn W. Story, 25, of 18 Thistle Street in Lynn was arrested and charged with operating under the influence of liquor, second offense, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, leaving the scene of an accident with property damage, speeding, a marked lanes violation, and no inspection sticker.

At 7:05 p.m., there was a report of suspicious person wearing a hoodie in a driveway on Lovett Street.

At 7:45 p.m., there was a report of an unwanted group of teens refusing to leave on Elliott Street.

Thursday, Dec. 17

At 12:45 a.m., there was a report of a possible drunk male in the street at Cabot and Lenox Streets.

At 4:16 a.m., a trash truck took down some wires on Dodge Street.

At 8:13 a.m., a citizen on Park Street pointed out half a dozen needles in a grassy area. They were properly disposed of.

At 10:07 a.m., there was a report of two wheelchair bound patients fighting on Brimbal Avenue. They were both advised of their rights and the consequences of making threats against each other.

At 12 p.m., there was a report of a woman passed out in a motor vehicle on Cabot Street.

At 1:34 p.m., there was a report of shoplifting on Rantoul Street.

At 2 p.m., a woman reported being followed from work on West Dane Street by a man who keeps asking for her number. She said she doesn’t know the man and will call police if he shows up again.

At 5:41 p.m., there was a motor vehicle accident with property damage at Cabot and Beckford Streets.
