Police: You Dirty Rat; Weapon Ordinance Arrest

Sunday, Sept. 20

At 4:05 p.m., a basement was broken into and tools were stolen on Rantoul Street.

At 6:30 p.m., kids were throwing rocks at a rat on Broughton Drive. The rat was disposed of.

At 9:15 p.m., there was a theft from an apartment on Manor Road.

Monday, Sept. 21

At 12:13 a.m., there was a report of a man looking into vehicles on Windsor Road.

At 1:04 a.m., a man sleeping on a bench near the train station was told to move along.

At 1:44 a.m., there was a report of a possible domestic incident on Sohier Road. Police arrested Alexis Daniel Matos, 26, of 61 Sohier Road in Beverly and charged him with a violation of the city’s knife and weapon ordinance.

At 10:33 a.m., there was a report of a smashed mailbox on Preston Place.

At 4:32 p.m., there was a report of an unarmed robbery on Mason Street.

At 5:30 p.m., there was a report of a breaking and entering into a motor vehicle on Valley Street.
