The city will next have to enter a purchase and sales agreement with T Ford.
Beverly, MA - The city has selected a $587,265 proposal to purchase non-aviation land on Sam Fonzo Drive for the construction of a public storage facility.
The funds from the sale will be used to make improvements to the Beverly Regional Airport.

A seven member evaluation committee was formed, according to RFP guidelines, and convened to assess proposals according to the minimum requirements and evaluation criteria established therein. The evaluation committee completed its review and unanimously recommended to Mayor Michael Cahill, the Chief Procurement officer, that the RFP be awarded to T Ford Company Inc. whose submittal met all of the minimum requirements of the RFP and also received the highest score of all respondents under the evaluation criteria.
On February 4, Cahill notified T Ford that the proposal of $587,265 for the purchase of the land to construct a public storage facility had been chosen as the winning proposal. The next step will be for the City and T Ford to enter into a purchase and sales agreement that will enable T Ford to begin the permitting process, which the sale of the property is contingent upon.

“We are happy with the process undertaken to sell this parcel of land and excited to work with T Ford Companies on the project.” said Cahill. “Thank you to everyone who helped this get done.”
Beverly Airport Commission Chair William Mahoney said, “These funds will be utilized to make further improvements to the Beverly Regional Airport and coupled with the state funded new four million dollar administration building and planned airfield improvements will make Beverly airport one of the best in the state.”
