Prosecutors: Woman Was Drugged, Forced To Have Sex
The lawyers for four people facing human trafficking charges are questioning the victim's account.
BEVERLY, MA -- A woman who declined an invitation from two women to have sex for money after meeting them March 1 at a birthday party at an apartment on Rantoul Street said she was drugged and forced to have sex for money over the next three days. The woman was allowed to leave only when she told the two women and two men that she had to be in court.
Beverly Police arrested Alicia Morasse, 24, Crystal Culbreth, 43, Kenel Cadet, 22, and John Connelly, 22, on Friday and charged with trafficking a person for sexual servitude, kidnapping and assault with intent to intimidate a witness.
Morasse and Culberth had earlier told her they were having sex for money with men they met through online advertisements. According to court records, Cadet and Connelly escorted the victim's boyfriend from the party and told him to leave.

According to the Salem News, which first reported this story, the victim told police she believes her drink was spiked with something and that she was naked when she woke up. She said someone else in the apartment collected and kept the money from men she had sex with.
All four entered not guilty pleas. Their lawyers questioned the victim's story and asked why the boyfriend would leave. ""What's the credibility of this story? I'd say zero," Culbreth's lawyer, John Morris, said.
