Rantoul Street's New Look to be Unveiled Next Thursday Evening
Rantoul Street will get everything from new lights and trees to new pavement in a project that could start as soon as next fall.
A $15 million reconstruction of two miles of Route 1A in Beverly - including all of Rantoul Street and a part of Cabot Street.
The project is on track for breaking ground next fall and construction would last two years, according to Michael Collins, Beverly's Commissioner of Public Services and Engineering.
A meeting, hosting by the state Department of Transportation, will present the current plans and solicit public feedback.

The meeting will happen at City Hall on Thursday, May 30 at 6 p.m.
The reconstruction project will give a new look to the road. Two new traffic lights will be installed - at Rantoul Street and Railroad Avenue and Cabot and Beckford streets - plus plant new trees and install new lights.
