BEVERLY, MA — Beverly police are asking residents to lock their vehicles and secure bicycles after a recent rash of thefts and break-ins.
Police said there will be an attempt to increase visibility amid the criminal behavior but that these are mostly crimes of opportunity that can be deterred through personal vigilance.
"Please remind your neighbors to lock their cars," police said. "Parents, please remind your children to secure their bicycles as best as they can."
