Salem News, current Councilor At-Large Scott Dullea and former City Council President Tim Flaherty all endorse Todd Murphy for Councilor At-Large

Beverly, MA -- November 4, 2013 -- Attorney Todd C. Murphy, candidate for City Councilor At-Large in tomorrow's election, is being endorsed by former City Council President Tim Flaherty, current City Councilor Scott Dullea, and the Salem News.
"I know Todd personally and professionally and deeply respect him on both levels," said Dullea. "He is the right choice for Beverly in this time of transition. I fully endorse Todd Murphy for City Councilor At-Large."
The Salem News wrote, "Among the other three vying for the seat being vacated by Scott Dullea, we would recommend fellow attorney and former teacher Todd Murphy..."
Polls are open today in Beverly from 7 a.m. until 8 p.m. Murphy is vying for one of three City Councilor At-Large seats.
Murphy's top issues include continued educational excellence in Beverly and making sure the middle school project is completed, smart development to fund the city's capital projects, upgrades in roads, increased recycling and reduced solid waste, and public safety.
"I'm a proud product of Beverly, and I hope voters give me the chance to help shape the future of our city for generations to come," Murphy said. "As a father, a business owner, and Beverly's biggest fan, I am truly invested in our amazing city, and would love nothing more than the privilege of serving its residents as Councilor At-Large."
Murphy, a 1993 graduate of Beverly High School, grew up in the heart of the city's downtown and now lives in North Beverly. He is a partner at Callahan Dewan & Murphy on Rantoul Street, where he focuses on criminal defense law. In addition to his defense work, he practices family law and other civil litigation.
Murphy is a graduate of Northeastern University School of Law. Prior to attending law school, he spent several years in special education. Murphy holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Tufts University and a Master of Education Degree in Special Education from Salem State College.
The father of two young daughters, Olivia (7) and Sloane (5 months), Murphy sits on the Beverly Children's Learning Center Board of Directors.
