Salon franchisor HQ and Training and Support Center come to Cummings Center

Dessange Group North America had a busy spring, opening its new corporate headquarters at 500 Cummings Center and appointing a new president and chief executive officer, Linda Chadwick.

Dessange Group North America is a division of Paris-based DESSANGE International, a world leader in luxury hairdressing established in 1954. Operating in 47 countries, it has three salon brands–Fantastic Sams Hair Salons, Camille Albane Paris, and DESSANGE Paris–each with its own private-label professional product line sold exclusively in the Company’s salons.

Fantastic Sams Hair Salons was previously located at Cummings Properties’ Dunham Road campus, before DESSANGE International purchased it. DESSANGE acquired the 40-year-old American brand as a way to leverage growth of its other brands in the United States.

Since its ribbon cutting in April, dozens of hair stylists have taken classes in the state-of-the-art training room, which is part of the 14,415-square-foot corporate office that also includes warehouse space.

“The Dessange space is very distinctive with custom paint colors and unique finishes and touches throughout,” said Cummings Properties account manager Jessica Palm, “and the training room is the showpiece.”

Stylists from Fantastic Sams, Camille Albane, and Dessange franchises come to the custom training facility to learn about the latest hair trends and the current Dessange collections from Dessange experts.

“We are thrilled with the way our space came together,” said Chadwick. “And we love being a part of the vibrant Cummings Center campus.”
