Scanlon, Other North Shore Leaders to Talk State of the Region Wednesday
Wednesday's State of the Region event will also be a legislative update from the North Shore Chamber on efforts for small businesses waivers for Obamacare and efforts to repeal the state's new software services technology tax.

Beverly Mayor Bill Sacnlon will join a handful of North Shore mayors Wednesday for the North Shore Chamber of Commerce's annual State of the Region breakfast.
The event is held at the Danversport Yacht Club. Following an early breakfast, Scanlon along with Danvers Town Manager Wayne Marquis, Peabody Mayor Ted Bettencourt, Salem Mayor Kim Driscoll and their counterparts from Lynn, Gloucester, Amesbury and Newburyport will highlight opportunities and some challenges ahead in their respective communities.
Prior to that address, however, attorney William Tinti of the North Shore Chamber will give an update on legislation relating to the Health Care Task Force's work on Obamacare waivers for small businesses as well as the Chamber's involvement in trying to repeal the new state software services technology tax.
