Search For Missing Beverly Man Suspended On Cape Cod

BEVERLY, MA — Wellfleet police suspended a search Wednesday for a landscape architect from Beverly who has not been seen since July 8.

A car belonging to Matthew Silveira, 32, of Beverly, was found on Black Pond Road in Wellfleet Sunday. Wellfleet police, along with Cape Cod Law Enforcement Search and Rescue Team, Barnstable County Technical Rescue Team, Barnstable County Sherriff’s Office, Massachusetts State Police Airwing and Massachusetts Environmental Police, conducted a multi-day search of the area for Silveira. Wellfleet police said the search included police dogs and drones.

"At this time, the department will be suspending the ground search pending any new information as the investigation continues," Wellfleet police said in a news release. "If anyone has had contact with Matthew Silveira since July 6, 2020, please contact the Wellfleet Police Department at (508) 349-3702."
