Sign Up Available For Beverly's Curbside Food Scraps Collection Pilot Program
Participating households will have access to high quality compost.

Beverly will begin a two-year curbside food scraps collection pilot program in September.
Any household who currently receives municipal curbside recycling and trash collection is eligible to participate.
During this pilot phase, the cost will be $67 per year to participate. After the pilot period is over that cost may change depending on a number of factors, including participation levels, equipment needs and traditional trash disposal fees.

Through a Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection $20,000 grant, the city will be able to provide participants with a wheeled curbside compost cart with locking lid for the first 500 households that register and return their first year collection payment.
Food scraps (including many that cannot be composted in a traditional backyard compost heap/bin) will be collected on a weekly basis.
