Sitcom Starring Beverly Native Debuts Thursday, Oct. 30
Stand-up comedian Jimmy Dunn is one of the stars of a new CBS sitcom, "The McCarthys," set in Boston that debuts on Thursday, Oct. 30.
A new CBS sitcom debuting later this month features Beverly native Jimmy Dunn.
The show “The McCarthys” is set in Boston and was created and co-written by Dedham resident Brian Gallivan, according to a report in the Boston Herald Thursday.
Singer and actor Joey McIntyre, well-known as being a member of the New Kids on the Block and Jamaica Plain native, is starring in the show, “ The McCarthys,” which is set to premier at 9:30 p.m. on Oct. 30 on CBS (channel 4).

Dunn, a longtime standup comedian, plays one of the McCarthy brothers, Sean, who lives in an attic room above his brother’s third-floor apartment, according to TV Rage.
Locally, Dunn hosted “Fan Attic” and “Sox Appeal” on NESN and has appeared nationally on “Jimmy Kimmel Live, Comedy Central and CMT, according to his biography from CBS.
