Health & Fitness

SMALL CHANGES, YIELD BIG RESULTS!

Every wonder if you just cut 125 calories out of your day, if that really makes a difference? Well that is 875 calories/week, 3500 calories/month and 42,000 calories per year!!! THAT WILL MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE!!  This could be simply cutting soda out of your day and replacing it with water, or cutting back on bread and having salad with your lunch.   Making simple changes in life make a huge difference, and when it comes to making dietary changes, taking baby steps is how you can start!  If you treat your health and fitness as a marathon and not a sprint you will be much more successful, because it is a long term plan not a quick fix!

If you deprive yourself, you will not have long term success and will most likely go back to old habits.   Write down your goals, put a time table to it, have it in a visible place so that you can see it every day; then LIVE IT!

I find if you can get yourself motivated and up to do your exercising first thing in the morning, you set the pace for the rest of your day!  If you are not a morning person, I promise you that by the end of the first week, your body and mind will adjust and will thank you!

Here are some simple tips on how to get yourself up and out the door for a morning workout:

  1.  Wear your workout cloths to bed.
  2. Set your alarm clock, BUT put it in the bathroom, so that you get out of bed to shut it off.
  3. Have your pre work out food prepare to take with you.
  4. Download your favorite music to get you going.
  5. Always look at your written goals and/or your dream board.
Remember, you can't out exercise a bad diet, and abs are made in the kitchen!  prepare your food, eat a balanced meal every 3 hours, and have fun doing it!  If it's not fun, you will not stick to it!

Carpe Diem!
