Special Ice Cream Flavor Returns to Help Elementary Students
A special ice cream flavor - created by students to help students - is on sale again through early November.

A special ice cream flavor that helps North Beverly Elementary School students that debuted last fall has returned.
Shooting Star Ice Cream is available through Nov. 3 at Cherry Farm Creamery in Danvers, on Conant Street just over the town line from North Beverly. It is blue vanilla ice cream with cookie dough and M&M's.
The flavor was created by students last fall and 50 percent of the proceeds from the sale of the flavor benefit the fifth grade end of the year activities, before the students move on to Briscoe Middle School.
Cherry Farm is well-known for providing ice cream for the beginning of the year socials at North Beverly, as well at many other schools in Beverly and across the North Shore. Last year, though, Cherry Hill owner Tom Jones said it is the first time the ice cream shop has every conducted a student fundraiser by selling a special flavor.
Cherry Hill is open Sunday-Thursday 12-9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from noon-10 p.m.
