St. Hilaire Campaign Facebook Page Reaches 300 “Likes”

Most “Liked” Facebook Page of any candidate in the race for Council At-Large in Beverly

BEVERLY, MA – Matt St. Hilaire, a Beverly native and candidate for City Council At-Large, announced today that his campaign’s Facebook Page (www.facebook.com/votesthilaire) reached the 300 “Like” milestone.

In less than a month St. Hilaire’s Facebook Page has become the most “Liked” Facebook Page of any candidate in the race for City Council At-Large.  Only the Facebook Pages of Mayor Bill Scanlon (376 Likes) and candidate for Mayor Mike Cahill (450 Likes) are more “Liked” among Beverly’s local elected officials and candidates.   

“The support I’ve received since entering the race for City Council At-Large has been overwhelming.”  St. Hilaire said.   “Beverly is at a critical crossroad and it will soon be up to a new generation to lead our city forward.  The residents of Beverly are responding to my message and it’s clear that they want a City Councilor who will move Beverly forward in a fiscally responsible manner.”

St. Hilaire, 36, is a graduate of Beverly High School’s class of 1995 and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Villanova University in 1999.  He is married to Beverly native Elizabeth (Dunn) St. Hilaire and together they have three young children.  St. Hilaire served Governor’s Paul Cellucci and Jane Swift at the State House and has held leadership positions with a number of high profile political campaigns.  He is currently employed as a Recruiter and Social Media Manager in the private sector.

“We live in a Social Media Age and increasingly social media is how people are accessing information and communicating with one another.”  St. Hilaire said.  “As City Councilor I will promote the usage of social media as a way for our local government to communicate with residents about what is going on in the city and to engage our citizens in the many opportunities to serve and participate in helping move our city forward.”
