State Approves $200,000 Earmark For New Beverly Police Station

The current Beverly Police Station was built in 1938 and is just 9,000-square-feet.

BEVERLY, MA -- The state legislature approved a $200,000 earmark for Beverly to begin design of a new police station. The grant from the Massachusetts Executive Office of Public Safety and Security would be another step on the road to replace the current Beverly Police Station, which was built in 1938. Last year, Beverly City Council approved $1 million to begin designing a replacement for the 9,000-square-foot building.
