Why are you seeking elective office?

I am running for Ward 3 Council seat because I care. I love this city. It's where I grew up and where my wife, family and I call home. I’ve been taught and practiced that you need to not just take, but give back as well.

The single most pressing issue facing our city is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.

1. Give back to the neighborhoods (Infrastructure, Paving, Parks etc.)
2. Resolution concerning the contamination coming from the former Varian site.
3. Resolve flooding issues.
4. Upgrade to ensure our parks and playgrounds remain safe and beautiful
5. Paving streets and fixing sidewalks

I will work tirelessly with all involved in getting these issues resolved.

What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

My opponent and I have great qualifications and concerns for the citizens of the ward. If there was one thing that may set us apart would be consensus management. I feel I would be stronger working with the residents of the ward along with other city officials on developing solutions, supporting the best interests of the whole.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I consider myself to be a conscientious, hard-working team player and leader who thrives on new challenges. Through Air Force training I developed research, investigative, and problem-solving skills. My proven track record in developing plans and strategies that improve efficiencies and effectiveness of business will be an asset to the council

The best advice ever shared with me was:

Together Everyone Achieves More

What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?

I believe the strength of our ward and community lies in our ability to provide good schools, safe neighborhoods, a vibrant local economy and public services that meet the needs of all citizens, while maintaining sound fiscal management.
